SMP3 is an intelligent total radiation meter that requires low maintenance and is equipped with industry standard digital and analog inputs that have been amplified. Based on the mature technology of CMP 3, SMP3 has added Modbus ® Interface reduces response time and performs temperature correction on measurement data. Its power supply has low power but a wide range of applications, between 5-30VDC, making it easy to integrate with weather stations. In addition, SMP also has overvoltage, polarity reversal, and short-circuit protection. Due to the same sensitivity of all SMP products, it is easy to exchange connecting instruments during recalibration.
The standard SMP product also provides personal computer software, data display screens, and Modbus for recording data ® Address setting.
SMP3 measures the total solar radiation on the horizontal plane. When tilted according to the inclination angle of the photovoltaic panel, the total solar radiation on the tilted surface is measured to calculate the efficiency of the photovoltaic module.
